Black and blue but alright!

It's been a hard week. I was doing really well with exercise and diet. I had been meeting Miss Wilma at Curves and we had had some very interesting conversations and work outs and I was looking forward to weighing in after my first month.

On Tuesday I was in a car accident leaving Curves. It really gave me a one, two punch and totally took out the car. I have always been a colorful character but now I have the bruises to prove it. The side impact bag went off during the collision so I have bruises on my back, under my chin, both knees, and the back of my head.

We were both able to walk away without injury so God is good! I have discovered some really sore muscles and it seems like my emotions were stuck for a few days and I would cry at the least little thing for no explainable reason. I still can hear the sound of crunching metal in my head and it has been hard for me to even drive the grocery cart.

The bitterly cold weather, lack of transportation and motivation has not been a good combination. I felt terribly responsible for the accident and have been beating myself up for my carelessness.

God in His mercy has provided for us in ways that we could have never thought or imagined.

Hopefully we will have a car by the end of this week so I will be able to continue to work out.

I hope I learned whatever lesson I needed to learn as I surly do not want to repeat the lesson.

I am so glad you are okay!1 oh goodness!!

Dont beat yourself up just be thankful that you are still here to exercise and keep me in place. Sandy

Momma! Don't beat yourself up about this. Everyone is just so happy that you are okay. Cars are replaceable metal - mommas are completely irreplaceable (especially MY momma).

Car Accidents are scary and traumatizing. I have been there. ((hugs)) I am just glad that you are okay.

Daisy, Daisy, Daisy... you can not beat yourself up for this. Accidents are just that! You certainly did not set out to do bodily damage - or destroy any vehicles! It just happend. God has already forgiven you, and I'm pretty sure the other guy has too. So, if they can -- then you should be able to forgive yourself too! (and I'd even bet you weren't even TRYING to get out of weigh-in!) :) You are safe. The other guy (or gal) is safe... God IS good!
