Weigh In at the the doctor
Just back from my three month check with the doctor. I didn't lose any weight according to his records (but he didn't know about the 5 pounds I gained over Christmas).
He will be sending a referral to Dr. Northrup (the Lap band specialist) and hopefully I can get into see him soon. I have no idea how far in advanced he is booked. I'm sure there will be more hoops to go through but at least talking to the surgeon is now more of a reality.
Over all it has been a good week and focusing on good choices seems to have been a good choice for me. Life is continuing on at a hectic pace but I am pleased at the progress I've made in many of areas of my life (at least for this week!)
I was impressed by some of Gattina's quotes on New Years Resolutions.
- Many people look forward to the New Year for a new start on old habits.
- People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas.
- “Now there are more overweight people in America than average-weight people. So overweight people are now average. Which means you've met your New Year's resolution.”
- New Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.
- May all your troubles last as long as your New Year's resolutions.
