The Up's of Life!

Alright, this got my attention. No more Stinkin Thinkin!

Rules from God:

1. Wake Up! Decide to have a good day. "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24 Each new day is a gift from the Lord; that's why it's called " the present".

2. Dress Up! The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart." I Samuel 16:7

3. Stand Up! (For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.) "Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we no not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us go good...." Galatians 6: 9-10

4. Shut Up! Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. "He who guards his lips guards his soul." Proverbs 13:3

5. Look Up! ( to the source of our strength) "I can do all things Christ who strengthens me" Phillippians 4:13

6. Reach Up! ( for something higher) "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up! (your prayers) "Do not worry about anything; instead Pray About Everything." Phillippians 4:6

Yes, yes and YES!!! This IS the day that the Lord has made ... Let us rejoice and be GLAD in it! I remember when my mother would watch Robert Schuller and the Tower of Power on Sunday mornings on tv. And he started EVERY broadcast with that verse! I LOVED it then, I LOVE it now -- and I frequently say it ... to myself or anyone else who will listen! Aside from Philippians 3:14 it is my very favorite! And it is TRUE! We DO "decide" to be happy! I wake every day and DECIDE to be happy. It is true that sometimes things happen during the course of the day that might make us UNhappy, but unhappiness for a reason is not only doable - it has a purpose. It prompts us to find a solution to whatever it is that is making us unhappy. But when you wake up in the morning, every day is fresh and new and it is up to YOU how you're going to enter it. What a WONDERFUL post LD!!! I could just HUG you! I think I will! (((((((((HUG)))))))))

Silly me! Philippians 4:13!!! Not 3:14! ROFL!

what a nice inspirational post!
