Unrealistic Expectations?
Busy day.....lots of activity. Exercised, moved 30 to 40 pound boxes all day.....ate well and would expect a big pay off.....
Is it reasonable to set up goals for the week if you are only going to be disappointed if you don't reach them?
Am I setting myself up for failure?
Are my goals realistic? Will my expectations affect my attitude if I can't meet them?
I know I didn't gain this weight over night and I won't lose it over night either so what gets you through the day? Faithfulness to the eating plan and exercise?
Do you have a goal in mind for how much weight you want to lose in a week?
Do you tend a higher goal than what you can resonable attain?

My weekly weight loss goal is about 2-3 pounds. Depends on what I know is coming in the upcoming week! This week, my goal is 4 pounds. Why? Because I had a gain, and I want to lose that plus my 2ish pounds. I try to keep them realistic. I think you know what real is. My husband rarely losing more than 1.5 pounds ina week, his average is a pound. Even when he works at it. I've lost as much as 6 pounds in a week- due to sickness. My average is 2-3 pounds.

I never EVER expect more than a 2 pound loss in a week. If there is extra I figure it's a bonus! And if it's only one I'm still happy to have a loss. Of course, I also only weigh every two weeks -- so really I'm ecstatic if I have 4 lb down - 3 is still excellent, 2 won't break my heart -- less than two and I get a little cross! But like I say ... MY doctor swears more than one pound a week is UNrealistic... but do ANY of us listen to what our doctors say???
THERE's a question for ya!
