5 Fun Facts

I've been tagged by Cindy of Skinner Ever After for 5 Wierd Facts about the Lazy Daisy. I thought and thought and came up with nothing. There is nothing wierd about me. Everything I do has a perfectly logical explanation (at least it's logical to me.)

So without apology here are 5 Amazing Fun Facts about Lazy Daisy's attempts at weight loss.

  1. I'm a carbaholic. "Man shall not live on bread alone....." But this grrrl could! Remember the old Planters song, "I love bread and butter, I love toast and jam. That's what's my baby feeds me and I'm her lovin man?" Well except for the man part it could be my theme song. If I ever had a bread machine I'd have to change my name to Two Ton Tessy!
  2. I can't do moderation. Sad but true! I'm an all or nothing kind of grrrl. I can't eat 10 M&M's .....without wanting and eating the whole bag. What I don't eat, I don't crave. If I don't eat sweets I don't crave them. If I don't eat bread, I don't crave it.
  3. I don't lie well. It's not that I haven't had practice in this area! At one time in my life I told so many lies that I even started to believe them. So if you notice the weight line on my blog not moving it's because I haven't lost any weight or worse yet have gained weight and am too vain to admit it. (Not to mention that I have no computer skills so have to have my darling daughter move it for me!)
  4. I have a love/hate relationship with my scale. I let my scale determine my attitude. If it says I've gained weight I go into self loathing mode. If it says I've lost I'm cocky, and arrogant. (Talk about extremes!) I weigh myself daily so I can make a mid-course correction or encourage myself to continue .
  5. I'm an emotional eater. I over eat when something is eating on me. Blogging is a good outlet for me so if you notice a lot of entries......it's been a stressful week. Remember: Stressed spelled backward spells desserts!
Hmmm.....those weren't very fun, so I'm not tagging anyone! Drat! now I have to come up with better ways to adapt.

Daisy Dilemma: " How do you keep yourself motivated?"

Quote of the Day: "You don't drown by falling in the water, you drown by staying there." Author unknown

Mood: TBI (teeny bit irritated!)

#2 is soooo true for me too!! Once I start, I can. not. stop. But if I don't ever eat it- I'm good...

As for motivated-- I've restarted my love relationship with sparkpeople.

Dear teeny bit irritrated!!
I wish that I had some sort of wonderful clue as to how to help you with this dilemna of yours. It seems to me that your weight issue is something that starts right in your head then...RIGHT!!!?? I know a lot of what I do...starts right there and it makes me so mad!! I think I am NOT HUNGRY and I am not, but get me to taste something and away I go!! If only I had a magic wand I would use it only on YOU....

How do I keep myself motivated? Prayer! And positive uplifting music. I like country music and there are a lot of really good uplifting country songs out there that just make me FEEL good -- and as long as I'm feeling GOOD and POSITIVE I can keep myself on track! And of course... with prayer ... Well... if God and Jesus can't help, WHO can??? (Mother Mary! I bet SHE understands weight problems!) I know God is with me on this one -- He GIVES me a good attitude about it! And I THANK Him!!!
