I think I'm in love!

Ok, if I'm not in love then I'm in serious like! As previously mentioned , ( to all 3 of you) I already fell off the diet horse (fortunately I landed on the most padded part of my body....no, not my head Floozie!). Other than having a bruise ego and gaining back some of my hard fought poundage there was little damage. It did give me a chance to look over what I'm doing and what went wrong.

I liked the quick weight loss of the first week (10 pounds!) It gave me great incentive to continue but also false expectations that the rest of the weight would just fall off.

I like the eating every 3 hours to keep my metabolism up.

I can tolerate exercise but haven't gotten to where I can look forward to it yet.

I like drinking water or Crystal Light.

The trouble was no salt, no taste, same , same, same. I like chicken, turkey, tuna but need something to make it tasty. There was nothing to look forward to.

So I've changed my eating plan again. This one is Carb-cycling that helps melt off fat. (Throw me in that Briar Patch!) You alternate between low carbs one day, high carbs the next!

Yesterday was the low carbs......it wasn't bad at all compared to what I had been eating.

Today is high carbs.....yummy, yummy, yummy! I had whole grain waffles for breakfast with a cup of fruit and 1 and half Tablespoons of real maple syrup. (Ok, so maybe I am on a sugar buzz...I loved it! It was legalized cheating!! How great is that?

Best news of all.....down 2 pounds this AM ( yes, it was 2 pounds that I had already lost but I still claimed it!!!)

This grrrl is going to work with a smile on her face today. PB and J sandwich for lunch....heaven!

Ok, I see your head shaking and that finger pointing.....lets give it a shot ok?

Got to go! Leslie is waiting for our walk. Carbs are my new best friend! (Sigh of contentment!)

Daisy Dilemma: Will this actually work?

Quote of the Day: " It is as hard to see one's self as to look backward without turning around"- Henry David Thoreau

Mood: Happy, happy, joy, joy!

I like hearing from a Happy Lazy Daisy for a change!! It is so funny how food rules our lives...Our moods...isn't it!! I wonder if that is the way that God meant it to be? I don't think so...Susan and I had our bible study this morning on Daniel. Man what a powerful book...so meaningful for today and really makes you stop and think. Well good for you. I just pray that those pounds will just melt off...Sandy

I have NO idea if it will work or not... I am a 100% supporter of counting CALORIES. Those are the things the body burns and therefore it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. If you burn more calories than you eat, you lose weight. On my CALORIE diet ALL foods are allowed -- and I occassionally have a PB&J too! I DON'T believe in deprevation. I believe for a diet to work you HAVE to be able to eat foods that you like. And I eat salt too ... just not as much as I used to! I make sure that MOST of my foods for the day are of the fruit/veggie category. And then protien... and then carbs. I will tell you this -- I eat a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch almost every morning for breakfast! It's low fat, low calories, satisfies my yen for something sweet usually for all day! If I don't have cereal (my other favorite being Froot Loops) I eat a bagle with peanutbutter! I make sure it's a whole grain bagel, and I only use about 1/2 tbl. pb on each half. I NEVER use 2 whole tbls of peanutbutter - cuz you don't need that much. All you need is enough to taste it!

There MIGHT be something to the low carb/high carb thing though -- because it will keep your body guessing rather than getting used to having the same thing all the time -- which is one of the things they say to change when you hit a plateau. So it MIGHT work! You let me know! ;)
