New Goals......

If I was a bird I'm sure I would look like this. Little wings and legs (big butt and gut). This is the bird that sits on the ledge next to my desk at work.

I would love to tell you that all my weight has magically dropped off and I don't have to work at it any more. It wouldn't be true but I would love to tell you that anyway.

Here's my game plan:

1. Write down everything that goes into my mouth. I do well when I actually do this. It's the days that forget to do that and forget that calories add up quickly when I'm not conscious of what goes into it.

2. STOP EATING AFTER 7 pm. ( Again, very effective if I actually observe this rule!)

3. Limit Sweets, breads, ice cream, cheese, and peanut butter. ( Again, very effective if I actually do it. Even a little of the above is enough to sabotage my dietary efforts.)

4. Go to bed earlier. ( Grazing at night is killing my progress!)

5. Eat much slower, stop frequently, stop before I'm full. (Mr. Wonderful eats quickly and I need to stop trying to keep up with him. I'm learning to take food with me if we are on the road and which food I can order if we are eating out.)

6. Get more Active. ( I set my timer now and get up and move around at least every half hour, even if it's only to dance around the kitchen or my office.)

7. Wear my pedometer and shoot for a goal of 10,000 steps. Statistics show that people who wear a pedometer average at least 2000 more steps than those that don't. I think it makes you more conscious to move around.

8. Dig out my exercise tapes and do them at least 3 times a week. ( Again, only effective if I actually do them. Leslie Sansone was looking at me very accusingly ....or was that my imagination?)

9. Make up turkey-veggie chili and have it available for snacking. It's good, hot, filling, lots of veggies and fiber. I think you spend more calories digesting it than you take in. But I need to do all the cooking on the weekend when I have more time.

10. Limit computer or TV time. I can easily get caught up and forget all my good intentions.

My new goal is to be below 200 pounds by my birthday .....November 19th

Daisy Dilemma: Can I do this? YES I CAN....with God, nothing is impossible.
